These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and Loslo AI when you use the Loslo mobile application, its associated backend services, and any related content (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, opening the app, or otherwise interacting with the Service, you confirm that you have read these terms, that you understand them, and that you accept being bound by them. If any clause is unclear, write to us at loslo.support@gmail.com before continuing. These terms are written in plain language whenever possible — Loslo is meant to be a kind, low-pressure companion, and we want that same tone to extend to the legal documents that surround it.
Acceptance and changes to the terms
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Loslo, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety. You also agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not accept these terms, you must stop using the Service. We may revise these terms from time to time — when we add a major feature, change pricing, or respond to a change in applicable law. When changes are material, we will notify you within the app and, where you have provided one, by email. We will not enforce material changes retroactively to past activity; changes apply only from the date you are notified onward. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you don't accept them, you can stop using the Service and request deletion of your account.
Eligibility and account creation
To use Loslo, you must be at least 16 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in the country where you reside, and not be barred from using the Service under applicable law. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information — your real name (or a name by which we can address you), a valid email address, your age and biological sex as recognized for caloric formulas, and any other data the onboarding flow asks for. You are responsible for keeping your password and any other authentication factor confidential. Do not share your account with anyone, do not allow others to use your account, and notify us promptly if you believe your credentials have been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain information we reasonably believe to be inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent.
What the Service includes
Loslo provides a kawaii-themed wellness companion centered around four daily objectives — hydration, physical activity, caloric target, and step count — and a 5-level mascot (the sloth Loslo) that visually progresses as you complete those objectives. The Service includes the onboarding questionnaire, profile management, the dashboard with progress rings and projection charts, the streak tracker, weekly and monthly summaries, push notifications you have opted into, and the ability to back up your history through our cloud sync feature. We may add, remove, or modify features at any time as the product evolves. We will try to give reasonable notice before removing a feature that you may rely on, but we cannot guarantee that any specific feature will be available indefinitely.
Not medical advice
Loslo is a wellness and motivational tool. It is NOT a medical device, and it does not provide medical, nutritional, psychological, or other professional advice. The caloric target shown in the app is an estimate calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation based on the values you provided; it does not take into account medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating disorders, recent surgery, or any other factor that should normally be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional. The weight projection charts are statistical illustrations under the assumption that you hit your daily target consistently — they are not a promise, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan. Before starting any new diet, fitness routine, or change in lifestyle motivated by something you saw in Loslo, you should consult your doctor, a registered dietitian, or another appropriate healthcare professional. If you have a history of eating disorders or experience symptoms of one (obsessive thoughts about food or weight, compensatory behaviors, body image distress, etc.), please pause the app and contact a healthcare professional immediately. Loslo is not designed for medical recovery and may not be appropriate in your case.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Loslo only for its intended purpose: tracking and improving your own wellness. You agree that you will not (a) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code or internal logic from the app; (b) scrape, harvest, or otherwise programmatically access our APIs in ways not exposed by the official client; (c) attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, authentication, or security measures; (d) use the Service to harass or harm others; (e) impersonate another person; (f) upload content (e.g., in a future social feature) that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or harmful; (g) use Loslo to set targets that would put yourself in medical danger (e.g., extreme caloric deficits beyond accepted safety thresholds — the app will refuse such targets, and you agree not to attempt workarounds). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Subscription and payment
Loslo offers two paid plans: a monthly plan at 12.99€ per month, billed immediately with no free trial, and an annual plan at 49.99€ per year that includes a 3-day free trial (prices may differ in your local currency as set by the App Store). Subscriptions are managed by Apple through the App Store: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store purchases are governed by Apple's refund policy — please contact Apple Support if you wish to request one. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. If we change prices, we will notify existing subscribers in advance and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price applies.
Free trial
The 3-day free trial applies to the annual plan only and gives you full access to Loslo without charge for its first 3 days; the monthly plan has no free trial and is billed immediately. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, your subscription begins automatically and your Apple ID is charged the applicable price. Cancelling during the trial keeps your account active until the end of the 3 days but stops the automatic renewal. The free trial is available only once per Apple ID and may not be available to users who previously held a Loslo subscription that ended within the past 12 months.
Your content and data
You retain all rights to the data you enter into Loslo (your profile, your logged meals, your weight history, your photos if any are taken). By using the Service, you grant Loslo AI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you and to perform the operations described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your data, we do not use it to train external models, and we do not share it with advertisers. If you delete your account, this license terminates and we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Loslo name, logo, sloth mascot character ("Loslo the sloth"), in-app illustrations, copywriting, sound design, and app architecture are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws and remain the exclusive property of Loslo AI. The Service is licensed to you, not sold. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Loslo app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works of the Service or any of its parts, except as expressly permitted by law (e.g., your right to make a personal backup copy where applicable).
Third-party services
Loslo integrates with several third-party services to function. Apple HealthKit is used (only with your explicit per-category consent) to read step counts, workouts, energy burned, sleep, and water intake. Supabase is our backend infrastructure provider for account storage and authentication. Apple's App Store handles subscription billing. Apple Push Notification service delivers notifications you have opted into. Each of these third parties has its own terms of service and privacy policy; your use of those services through Loslo may be subject to those documents. Loslo AI is not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services, although we choose providers carefully and bind them by data processing agreements where personal data is involved.
Service availability and modifications
We strive to keep Loslo available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, network outages, or events outside of our reasonable control. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If a change materially reduces the value of the Service for active paying subscribers, we will offer a prorated refund or extended access where reasonable. Loslo AI is not liable for unavailability caused by your device, your internet connection, your iOS version not being supported, or the failure of any third-party service.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of data, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment. Without limiting the foregoing, Loslo AI does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components, that the data displayed will be accurate to any specific medical or nutritional standard, or that the Service will meet your specific needs or expectations. Some jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers of certain warranties, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Loslo AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (€100). Nothing in this clause is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Loslo AI and its employees, officers, and contractors from any third-party claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these terms; (b) your misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your violation of any right of a third party. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter that would otherwise be subject to your indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.
Termination
You may stop using Loslo at any time and may delete your account from Settings → Delete account & data; this terminates these terms with immediate effect (subject to the survival of clauses that by their nature should survive — e.g., intellectual property, limitations of liability, dispute resolution). We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, if your account has been inactive for a long period (12+ months), or if we discontinue the Service as a whole. Where lawful, we will notify you in advance and give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting us at loslo.support@gmail.com; we will try to respond within 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France — unless you are a consumer residing in another EU member state, in which case mandatory provisions of your country's law and the jurisdiction of your local courts continue to apply. Nothing in this clause limits your right to bring a complaint to a competent consumer protection authority or to use any available out-of-court dispute resolution scheme.
Notices, severability, and entire agreement
Notices we send to you may be sent by email to the address associated with your account, by in-app message, or, where applicable, by push notification. Notices you send to us should be sent to loslo.support@gmail.com. If any clause of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the terms shall continue in full force and effect, and the invalid clause shall be replaced by an enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent. These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy and any other document expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Loslo AI regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
